🥋 Intro to Kendo 剣道 – Learn Japanese & Samurai Swordsmanship!

Discover the language and discipline of traditional Japanese Kendo—the way of the sword! This 2-week course will introduce you to:

  • Reiho (Etiquette)

  • Kamae (Posture & Guard)

  • Suburi (Fundamental Sword Movements)

🔹 Dates: May 13, 15, 20, 22
🔹 Location: Santa Fe Family Life Center
📍 6300 N Santa Fe Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73118
🔹 Youth Class (Ages 8–15): 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
🔹 Adult Class (Ages 16+): 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Classes will be taught in both Japanese and English. No Japanese language skills are required to join.

  • T-shirt

  • Shorts

  • A face mask during practice

⚔️ Shinai (bamboo practice swords) will be provided

🥋 剣道入門クラス – 日本語と侍の剣術を学ぼう！

主催：オクラホマ日米協会（JASO）

日本の伝統武道「剣道」を体験しながら、日本語と礼儀作法を学びましょう！この2週間のコースでは以下の基礎を学びます：

  • 礼法（れいほう）：剣道の基本的な礼儀

  • 構え（かまえ）：基本姿勢とガード

  • 素振り（すぶり）：基本の振り方練習

🔹 日程：5月13日・15日・20日・22日

🔹 子どもクラス（8歳～15歳）：午後6時～7時
🔹 大人クラス（16歳以上）：午後7時～8時

授業は日本語と英語の両方で行います。
※日本語の知識がなくても大丈夫です。
