📣Calligraphy Workshop 🖌️🇯🇵
Let’s learn about one of the traditional Japanese arts, 書道 “shodō” (calligraphy), the art of writing kanji and kana characters beautifully with an ink-dipped brush.
With an overview of the history of Japanese calligraphy, a team of JASO staff will demonstrate how to write Japanese characters with fude (brush) and Sumi (ink).
Dates: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 Saturdays
Time: 10:00- 11:30 AM
Location: Harding Fine Arts Academy
Fees: $60 for 3 sessions
Age: 10 and up
Registration: 25 limited seat
What will we learn?
Day 1: History of calligraphy, basic strokes
Day 2: Practice kanji characters and your name
Day 3: work on the final project
